Why does the black-and-white picture look coloured?
Colour cells in your eyes tire while you stare at the strange colours. When the grey picture appears, the tired cells respond less, so you see the opposite colours, which are the real colours of the painting.
It didn't work for me.
Keep your eyes exactly on the dot the whole time and don't blink much. A bigger screen and a dim room help. Try 30 seconds.
